There are tens of thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands of Thesis bound by Maltby’s stored in the Bodleian Library, Oxford. We do not print; but if you have printed off your Thesis or have had it printed by a commercial printer Maltby’s will bind it to the highest specification. Cloth soft bindings for initial submission, hard back case bindings for final submission.

You have probably spent three to four years preparing your Thesis. For peace of mind, in knowing it will be bound to the correct specification for whichever college you have studied at, come to Maltby's. Maltby's is in Pony Road on the Horsepath Trading Estate, just off the ring road, opposite BMW Mini. Client car parking is available.

Maltby’s use the highest quality materials and keep in stock a complete range of coloured cloths. They also have Crests for the majority of Oxford Colleges. If you wish to keep a bound copy for yourself why not incorporate your college Crest.

We produce a large number of Thesis bindings for students who have studied outside Oxford. The same fast service is available for these students.

SERVICE AND PRICES

Normal service is 48 hours (Monday to Friday) whether you require one or several copies.

First copy, hard bound, lettered on spine (square back) £28.00.

Additional copies, hard bound, lettered on spine (square back) £27.50 each.

Lettering on front cover up to maximum 4 lines £7.00. Most Oxford Brookes Departments require this facility therefore the total price for Oxford Brookes Students is, first copy £35, two or more copies £34.50 each.

24-HOUR AND SAME DAY SERVICES

All bindings are carried out on the premises therefore if you require a 24-hour service or can bring your Thesis in at 9am we can usually have it available by 4-30pm. the same day. Please note it is essential to give us at least a days warning if you wish to use the 24-hour or same day service.

Same day service, hard bound, lettered on spine (square back) £50 per copy.

Maltby’s also produce cloth, soft bound editions.

24/48-hour service, soft bound, no lettering £15 each.

48-hour, soft bound, lettered on spine, first copy £20, additional copies £19.50 each.

24-hour, soft bound, lettered on spine, first copy £25, additional copies £24.50 each.

Special editions can be produced in full, half or quarter bound leather, also in imitation leather and marbled papers. Round backs, head and tail bands and ribbon markers are also available. Blocking can be in gold, silver or other coloured foils plus crests. Pockets for maps and guards for photographs can also be inserted..

Maltby’s regularly bind for overseas students. When students are unable to collect their bound Thesis, deliveries can be arranged on their behalf. Copies can also be despatched to all parts of the world.
